Should we understand and apply the Bible in a literal sense 100% of the time? Moses was told to bring cases of certain legal disputes "before God" to determine who is right and who is wrong. Although this is the hyper-literal translation of the text, is this what the LORD intended? Or should the litigants be brought "before the judges," as the NIV and other translations claim?
